Big Bend West Texas Adventure Trip Feb 26-March 1st 2026
“I’m looking for someone to share in an Adventure…”
-Gandalf
We need adventure
There are certain places that uniquely awaken the deep parts of a man’s heart. Wild places, adventure, and the company of trusted brothers create sacred space for God to meet us and shape us.
In our everyday lives, we often lack this kind of experience. Many men quietly long for adventure, a test of strength, and a place to come alive again in heart and spirit.
Our digital attachments—through social media, entertainment, and work—keep us numb to the heart’s true cry. We need opportunities to unplug, step away from the noise, and return to the primal simplicity of community, struggle, and joy.
Simple Life Missions – West Texas Wilderness Retreat
Big Bend National Park
Where We’re Going
Big Bend National Park is one of the most remote National Parks in the Continental United States. It’s desolate beauty is the draw. No crowds, huge wide open landscapes, mountains, rivers, canyons, deserts, and wildlife, all of these things are a recipe for a true adventure.
We’re spending 3 nights in the Chisos Basin in Big Bend National Park. Each day will be filled with times to hike, explore canyons, climb mountains, and bask in God’s creation. Meals will be delicious, and plentiful and each evening we’ll sit under the clearest night sky outside of Alaska.
There will be times to pray, reflect and learn from one another through the challenge and adventure to grow closer to God. There is also time set aside for solitude and silence to connect with our loving God.

Why You Should Go
Your soul needs this.
I’ve been to Big Bend 7 times, both to meet with the Lord in Solitude, and also to hike with my family. This is place rife with adventure, beauty and intimacy with God. You’ll come home stronger, more grounded, and alive in ways you didn’t know you could be.
An adventure trip is an opportunity to invest in your soul.
